101 Things to do with a surface parking lot.
Goodness knows Spokane has its fair share of shortsighted surface parking lots. Even historic buildings have been razed to the ground in their favor.
“His legacy is going to be a surface parking lot,” said Halvorson, President of the Spokane Preservation Advocates. “Wendell Reugh has been making money off of real estate investments in Spokane for 20 years. He’s going to end up taking his money, moving to California and leaving a hole in the center of downtown Spokane.”

Another much loved concrete property pimp is Seattle-based Joe Diamond.

Wherever do you get that creative streak? Wonderful ideas. The City snow removal division is really ticked off at diamond parking for neglecting to maintain their lots during the snow… I learned a lot at a neighborhood alliance meeting yesterday.
Howzabout we get a crowd of random people, and half of them are in on the joke-they don’t know what they’re doing there or they’re there for a market or something. Then someone with a boom box starts playing a song really loud and that half of the people launch into choreographed song and dance. One of my crazy ideas.
