Flying Spiders at the Globe Tonight

The Flying Spiders at BeGin last Friday. (Isamu Jordan and Rajah Bose.)

The Flying Spiders will play a free show at The Globe tonight. We’ll see Isamu Jordan of The Som Show fame, Thuy Nguyen of The Truth Lenders fame, Rajah Bose of New York Times Photog fame, and seven other famous, should-be-famous, or soon-to-be famous artists playing together. For free.

No big. I mean, or we could grab a drink at Jimmyz or something.

Despite their utterly terrifying band name, the Flying Spiders bring some really awesome new tricks to the Spokane music scene. The most awesome trick is sounding like a slightly less drug addled Parliament Funkadelic. Another trick is bringing together, like, 900 instruments including the violin, keyboard, cello, saxophone and beatboxing guy (which is totally an instrument).

They describe themselves as a “hip-hop symphony circustra,” which pretty much says it, in addition to all the stuff I just said.

Did I mention it’s free? You should totally do this.

Click here to see the Facebook event. Flying Spiders play at The Globe, 204 N. Division, at 9 pm tonight. Free. 21+.
