Strong Solutions Camp Out on Sprague
By Mark Simonds
The new Apple store in Spokane is set to open at 10am this Saturday (9/25). If other openings are any indication, there will be people camping out in front to be the first through its doors. There is a lot of pent up excitement among local Apple heads as well as curious consumers who may not have much previous exposure to Apple products in this area.
While the fact that Spokane is finally getting an Apple store says a lot about the growing status of our city, people should also be supportive of Strong Solutions, the “other” Apple store that has been locally owned and operated in Spokane’s International District for a number of years.
In this spirit, an alternative camp out event is set to take place at Strong Solutions (1718 E. Sprague) this Friday night to draw attention to these friendly local guys. Some Spokanites will never understand all the hype around these products and the people who sell and maintain them. Some may misinterpret this counter campout as a protest – which it clearly is not.
The big box corporate store in RPS mall has the potential to work synergistically with the existing mom and pop shop. The big box offers some products that the local store does not, and the local store offers a variety of services that the big box isn’t intending to offer. Together the customer base in Spokane will grow, and both businesses are set to prosper.
Party with these guys, Sean and JD!
In response to customer requests, Strong Solutions will be setting up for a party in the basement at around 9pm, and will stay open all night until the store opens the next morning at 10am. Anyone who wants to camp out this Friday night is welcome to come. Coffee, music and snacks will be on hand, and guest are encouraged to bring their own. Even if you just want to stop by and say hi for a few minutes, come on down! The friendly folks at Strong Solutions are happy to have us and will very likely be hanging out throughout the evening.

Kidding.
East Sprague is now the International District? Am I the only one who is not quite seeing it?
Those guys are totally awesome, I love hanging out in their store!
