The Finger, an Olympia-based art, music, activism, culture and lifestyle zine, is looking for contributors to bolster it’s Spokane representation. They offer “access to secret, free downloads of each edition of The Finger, the accompanying compilation CDs, and other silly little things that we happen to upload.”
If this video of Ghost Mice playing in “some North Spokane backyard” after the July 4th ‘08 anti-police brutality march is any indicator, count us in!
As the Finger continues to expand it’s influence across the creative networks of the Northwest, the publication increases its value as a conduit for Spokanites to report on our scene building progress. We strongly subscribe to the philosophy “Deliver and they will come!”

Oh the Finger – how can I forget their gracious exit from Spokane a while back
Hi Bart! The Finger hasn’t left Spokane — many of the original folks are in town working on awesome things (in fact, it appears that you work with on of our fabulous long-time contributors!). We’re just a bit more regionally encompassing, I suppose. Over the past few years, we’ve decided to publish annually. We plan to publish the next two issues (19 & 20) together this summer. If you’d like to become involved, please visit the website: thefinger.forsleepwalkers.com. You’re also welcome and encouraged to post Spokane-related content! We hope to have a Spokane gathering this winter; a fun excuse to eat delicious things together and share ideas.
Thanks, Spovangelist, for posting this! Y’all are doing incredible things in Spokane. ♥
