In a time of economic upset, more people find themselves out of work and unable to afford the increasing costs of vocational retraining. One way to gain new skills and demonstrate initiative (whether you’re employed or not) is to volunteer.
While some equate volunteering with dishing out gruel at a local soup kitchen, there are actually a broad variety of volunteer positions available.
If people think finding a job is challenging, landing just the right volunteer gig can sometimes prove doubly difficult. While there are an abundance of career counseling and job placement centers in Spokane, there are no all-encompassing third party volunteer service counseling groups.
