Voting Rights Extend to Perrier Drinkers

EHB 2205 is a bill to give equality to all voters, especially young voters. Statistically, most people register to vote at the DOL when they renew their license, but if you get your license at 16 or 17, you miss out on voting until you’re 21 and you go back to to renew.

  1. I don’t think I can buy the whole “fair access” to voting thing. It has been awhile since I was 18, but I think I was able to register to vote in the business office at Ferris High School. I know I did it shortly after I turned 18. Can’t you register at the post office as well? Sure, allowing people to preregister is probably fine, but it’s not like young voters are somehow disenfranchised by having to jump through 1 hoop in order to vote.
