Workin’ Boots on Sprague
Some women just turn heads. The way this lady strutted down the street was enough to make me stop at the bike intersection of death to take her picture.

Spokane is in a peculiar place where style cycles have sped up to where they are lapping our lag in following fashion trends. While Urban Outfitters spends millions marketing the new 90′s look all over the world, a good chunk of people in Spokane never gave it up to begin with. And why should they?

What really caught my eye were these boots. I used to rock a pair like this in the 4th grade at Brentwood, but they were a little too forward for the times and I was teased for wearing “hooker boots.” I had proudly bought my laced-up beauties from my Uncle in our family’s Wolf Point, Montana department store. “I’ve replaced the heels twice,” she bragged. I would too if I still had a pair like that. Let’s hear it for eco-friendly thrift!

About the Author
I didn’t know it was possible to turn a plastic bag into part of an outfit. For some reason it just fits. Very interesting.
Is that an aquatic theme on her shirt? Little angel fish and seaweed sprigs?
I have a pair of boots like that. She may have just given me the confidence to wear them!
hey.
i think its neat that you are so up on spokane.
its a awesome city, and it kinda bugs when i hear people bad mouth and carry on and on about seattle. yah sure, seattle is nice, but as someone whos lived in and/or visited other cities (orlando, atlanta, porland to name a few), seattle is a pretty standard metropolis.
spokane is a nice “biggest little city”.
nice people, nice views, nice weather…
nice.
but, the grass is always greener and all that, i suppose.
Sorta looks like Deana, did you grab her name?
Here are the boots. I told ya.
